Eid Mubarak, everyone !
As Klang Valley residents, we are used to the Aidilfitri being celebrated the whole of Syawal. Our real Raya actually starts after we return home from our balik kampung !
The same with the folks here in Bandar Seri Putra. So, Alhamdulillah, we had our Eid-ul-Fitri Ziarah programme for 2011 on 10th Sept ( Saturday).
It is now our 6th year of organising this wonderful and fun programme, and we never failed to get enthusiastic and cooperative parents to open their homes to receive the little Al-Fatih kids’ ziarah, Alhamdulillah.
This year, we had separate routes for Tadika 1 and Tadika 2 children, and visited 6 houses each. The kids came bedecked in beautiful hari Raya clothes ( complete with samping and songkok too.. so cute!) and recited marhaban together at these houses. Alhamdulillah, they were good, and may put some of we adults to shame with their reciting, loud and clear !
This year, we were challenged with rain coming down periodically during the entire programme. With the quick thinking of teachers-in-charge ( and the help of many umbrellas), we managed to complete the ziarah, Alhamdulillah.
We also had a mini ziarah programme for the lttle tots at Taska Tunas Al-Fatih for the first time. However, they only visited 3 houses, since that is how far their little can carry them. And yes, they also recited marhaban !
