Registration 2009 Banner
The making of our Registration Banner
One of the things we do annually is designing our own banners. Fortunately, there are a couple of free and open source software out there like GIMP and Inkscape so you don’t have to pay a hefty fee for something like Adobe Photoshop. Despite being free, GIMP for instance has most of the stuff you’d need to make or edit images.
The only problem doing banners on your own is that you might end up spending too much time learning how to use the graphics application.
Both GIMP and Inkscape can be installed on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
The following is one of the banners we put up near our school this year. It was done using GIMP. Then we send it to places like Barakah to get it printed out.

Peace!
